The flow label here at TGA is an innovative approach to label design where we incorporate the style and design of the card and use this to then influence the look of the label. From Prizm Optics, to Panini Selects, we’ve got you covered on making your label flow with precision and accuracy for the best-looking transition from card to label in the market today!
Let’s discuss a few aspects to what makes flows work best for you and your card and what to think about when submitting your potential flow cards with us.
Will my card flow well/be able to have a flow label?
The first aspect that goes into flow labels is how well will the card flow based on the design of the card itself?
The main feature to notice before sending in your card for a flow is that your card is borderless. What does this mean?
Some sports cards will have printed on borders that won’t allow us to add a flow to the label because the design of the card does not extend beyond the card itself and therefore nothing is able to ‘flow’ to the label in the design.
An example would be most vintage sports cards from the 80s and earlier. Many were made to display the player in a display box on the front of the care with a white border around said image.
The major takeaway is, if a design or border element extends beyond the top of the card, we can offer you a label that is bound to stand out and satisfy all of your display needs and desires!
How much does it cost to get a flow label?
Flow labels are only a $5 addition to our normal grading prices! They are this price per card and each one is unique and custom made by our wonderful graphic designer who puts years of experience in the digital imaging industry to work as he gives you the highest-quality label to perfectly match your submitted cards.
Any other design aspects go into the flow label?
Quite possibly the coolest feature about our flow labels is that we take inspiration for the overall design of the card as well and incorporate that to our label!
Borders for logos and colors incorporated on the card are transitioned seamlessly to the label to make it seem as if the label was meant to be with that card from the moment it came off the printer. Panini Mosaics are a great example of this where we border our logo similarly to theirs on the card as well as matching the pattern style of color variations!
It is a satisfying and eye-pleasing match that will have you wondering why all your slabs don’t look this way!
We love our timeless Royal Black labels and so do our thousands of cards that have been slabbed with them. But for those who seek something new and special, our flow labels guarantee to stick out on your shelf at home, in your shop, and leave people wondering, “How did they do that?”.
